Tyson Fury finally responds to viral Anthony Joshua tweet from 2017

Tyson Fury has responded to an old Anthony Joshua tweet which has recently resurfaced.

Just four years ago, Fury had unofficially retired and had ballooned up to a staggering 400lb.

That was just two years after his stunning upset of Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury has spoken openly on his struggles to cope with the fame and fortune which came his way - as well having personal struggles with the controversial character that he had become.

On his darkest day, he revealed on the Joe Rogan podcast that he took his Ferrari for a spin and almost drove it into the wall before thoughts of leaving a fatherless family behind dragged him back. That was the start of his recovery.

Conversely in that time, Joshua career's was going to new heights.

Joshua has been coming off the back of a stunning knockout victory over Kitschko himself, before going on to defeat Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker - securing his spot as the top heavyweight in the world alongside Deontay Wilder.

Joshua challenged Fury during that period - tweeting at him in 2017.

Joshua wrote: “& @Tyson_Fury get fit you fat f***.”

Fury had not responsed... until today.

Joshua's tweet has once again resurfaced, with Fury writing: "With the right mindset and focus you can achieve anything."

Fury now, of course, has gone on to do just that. The Gypsy King has dropped 130lbs and triumphed over Wilder twice to become heavyweight champion - remaining undefeated.

Joshua has now lost twice, giving up his belts first in a shock loss to Andy Ruiz Jr, before retaining them in his rematch.

And most recently, Joshua was dominated by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, who now holds his belts, respectively.

Fury is currently training younger brother Tommy, who is set to face Jake Paul in Florida next month.
