Tyson Fury explains why he didn't visit little brother Tommy on Love Island

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has finally revealed the reason he did not visit little brother Tommy in the Love Island villa.

The 30-year-old, who is ten years older than his sibling, revealed that he missed the family visit episode of the reality show because he is currently on a training camp.

The Gypsy King made the admission while hosting a Q&A session on Instagram after a fan asked: “Why didn't you visit Tommy in Love Island? That's your brother."

The world famous boxer replied: “I would of (sic) loved to but I am in training camp.

"People do not realise the sacrifices made to reach the top level... not just in boxing but anything you aspire to do."

Tyson had previously tried to discourage his brother from going on the show, advising him it could ruin his boxing career if he got “carried away.”

However, despite his misgivings, he admitted that Tommy was “smashing it” during an appearance on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.

Tommy, 20, came second in this year’s Love Island alongside his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

The pair won just 25.56% of the vote, losing out to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea with 48.82% of the vote.

Rumours were initially rife that all was not well between Tommy and Molly-Mae after the pair were not seen together for days after returning home to the UK.

However, they put on a loved-up display as they hit the shops in London yesterday.

Love Island’s reunion episode it set to air as a one-off special tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

The episode will give fans an update on how the islanders have been doing since returning to the UK.

The entire 2019 cast is expected to be in attendance with hosts Caroline Flack and Iain Stirling.
