Tyson Fury aims to inspire Crawley Town with message of support ahead of Leeds United clash

Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has issued a message of support to Crawley Town ahead of their FA Cup third round fixture against Leeds United.

The League Two side welcome Marcelo Bielsa's outfit to the People's Pension Stadium on Sunday and are the underdogs for the fixture.

Leeds have a disappointing record in the FA Cup in the last decade, exiting the competition at the third round in each of the past three seasons and bowing out at the same stage in seven of the past 10 years.

However, they are ranked as heavy favourites for Sunday's fixture but Crawley can call upon some unlikely support for the clash.

Fury, a Manchester United fan, has issued a special message to the minnows via a video shared by the club's official Twitter account.

"This is a special message to Crawley Town. Hi guys, I know you have a big game against Leeds but never underestimate the underdog.

"I have been the underdog so many times in my career and always come out on top. Come on the boys!"

Crawley are competing in the FA Cup third round for the first time since 2013, when they were knocked out by Reading.

The winners of Sunday's fixture will see their path in the FA Cup detailed in Monday's draw, where the ties for both the fourth and fifth round of the competition will be set.
