Tyson Fury aiming to knockout Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo with Old Trafford plan

Tyson Fury has outlined his plans to bring a heavyweight world title fight at Old Trafford - and is aiming to knockout Cristiano Ronaldo as the city's prime star.

The Gypsy King is back in the ring this weekend to face Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout in Las Vegas, as he looks to inflict a second defeat upon the American.

Once the Bronze Bomber is out the way, Fury is eyeing a future fight back in the UK - with his promoter Frank Warren confirming that is the plan for the two-time world heavyweight champion.

In fact, Fury is planning to take a fight to the home of Manchester United and he wants to replace Ronaldo as the city's biggest sports star.

“I have two fights left out here but I’d love to bring a world title fight back to Manchester," he told the Sun.

“It has always been a dream of mine to fight at Old Trafford. The last fight there was Eubank versus Benn in 1993 and that was massive.

“I’m really happy Ronaldo’s back at Old Trafford - but this town ain’t big enough for the both of us! If I lived in Manchester it would be a problem. But I’m an hour up the motorway in Morecambe so he’s got plenty of distance.”

Fury had previously stated that he would never fight on British shores again earlier this year but has since completed a u-turn.

The Manchester fighter last had a bout on British shores back in August 2018 against Francesco Pianeta in Belfast and fought Sefer Seferi at the Manchester Arena two months earlier, which served as preparation for his comeback against Wilder.

Since then, Fury's last four fights have been stateside, the last three of which have been in Las Vegas, which stands as the venue once again this weekend.
