Tyronn Lue will return to coach the Cavaliers Thursday against the Washington Wizards, a team source confirmed Wednesday.
Lue announced on March 19 that he was taking a leave of absence to address health issues, which included chest pains and problems sleeping. He reportedly was also coughing up blood.
Lue, 40, coached the Cavs to the 2016 NBA championship after being promoted to succeed the fired David Blatt that January.
The Cavs went 8-1 under associate head coach Larry Drew, 60, who previously directed the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks.
Drew said Tuesday that Lue had been around the team for the past five or six days, which would eliminate any feeling-out period when he returned.
