The GAA have reportedly recommend a two-match ban for Tyrone's Tiernan McCann for his altercation with Donegal defender Stephen McMenamin.
McCann's fingers and then his foot appeared to make contact with McMenamin’s face and head while he was on the ground during the first half of last weekend's Ulster Championship semi-final.
The incident went unpunished by referee David Gough but it is understood that McCann will now miss Tyrone's next two Championship matches.
Micky Harte's men travel to Longford on Saturday week for their All-Ireland qualifier after their four-point defeat to Donegal.
McCann, 28, would likely have missed that encounter anyway as he is struggling with a hamstring inury.
Elsewhere, Dublin hurler Shane Barrett has been cleared to play in tomorrow night’s must-win Leinster showdown with Galway in Parnell Park.
The Central Hearings Committee rescinded the straight red card that Barrett picked up against Carlow 12 days ago.
In contrast, Galway will have do without defender John Hanbury who failed in his bid to overturn a red card from their last win in Kilkenny last Sunday.
