Tyrone's Kieran McGeary has been named Footballer of the Year for 2021 at the PwC GAA All-Star awards.
The Pomeroy native had great year and delivered the Sam Maguire back to Tyrone.
A stand out performance against Kerry in the All-Ireland semi-final demonstrated his importance to the Tyrone team.
His GPS stats from the Kerry game were mentioned by a teammate and were rumoured to be incredible.
To get to an All-Ireland final was nothing short of heroic from Tyrone, as Ulster teams usually find it so difficult to get that far in the competition.
Speaking on winning the award, McGeary was as modest as ever.
"I didn't think that was coming to be honest," he told RTE.
"It tops off an incredible year."
Mayo's Oisín Mullin picked up Young Footballer of the Year.
