Tyrone Mings has revealed how he has been probing Aston Villa team-mate John McGinn for the lowdown on Liverpool defender Andy Robertson.
Villa centre-back Mings is set to be in opposition to Robertson at Wembley on Friday evening when England and Scotland clash in their Euro 2020 Group D showdown.
It will be the third meeting between the two players this season, with Villa having inflicted Liverpool's heaviest defeat in almost 60 years with a 7-2 home triumph in October before losing 2-1 at Anfield in April.
And Mings has admitted to wanting to know more about Robertson.
"The Aston Villa-Liverpool game was certainly a memorable one," he said. "But there's always something different about when players play for their national team, the pride and emotions that come with it as well.
"He is a driver in the Scotland team, he is the captain and a fantastic leader.
"I spoke to John McGinn about him and what he is like as a person.
"He is another on the long list of quality players that Scotland have."
England won their opening game 1-0 against Croatia on Sunday, while Scotland were beaten 2-0 against the Czech Republic at Hampden the following day.
