It was earlier reported that the Miami Dolphins were interested in Taylor’s services as a potential bridge quarterback, much like the Browns original intentions last spring.

The Browns acquired Taylor for their 2018 third round pick just over a year ago. In his short-lived career (three games) in Cleveland, he threw for 473 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and completed 49.4 percent of his passes.

With the previously expected departure of Taylor, the Browns will be in the market for a backup quarterback.
