Tyrell Williams expected to get largest free agent contract of any WR

The rumor mill surrounding Chargers speedster Tyrell Williams has been active the last couple of weeks. On Wednesday, it might have reached it’s peak. According to Matt Verderame, Williams is going to draw the largest contract of any wide receiver this offseason.

The Colts have plenty of cash. As do the Raiders, 49ers, Browns, and Jets. He’ll likely end up on one of those teams. The Raiders are believed to land Antonio Brown any day now:

That might take Williams out of the running. The latest on the Browns front is that Odell Beckham Jr. will be in Cleveland. Speculation, but that would all but take them out of the running as well. There is still plenty of teams out there not listed that will give Williams a hefty contract.

This would be a blow to the Chargers. It would also mean the team would receive a high comp pick as well. Something to keep an eye on.
