Tyreek Hill to play vs. Jags and won’t face suspension

If Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey wanted a rematch with Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill, his wish came true Friday. The league announced that the star wide receiver wouldn’t be disciplined after being accused of abusing his son earlier in the year.

Back in April, before the draft, an audio recording surfaced of Hill and his girlfriend and son’s mother, Crystal Espinal, having an argument. In the recording, Hill and Espinal argued about Hill breaking his son’s arm and the kid being “terrified” of Hill. He responded by calling her an expletive and stating she should be afraid of him, too.

The league’s statements upon the news of Hill are as follows:

In a nutshell, the league did an investigation and couldn’t conclude that Hill assaulted his child. As a result, Hill, who was suspended from team activities in April, will now be able to attend the Chiefs’ training camp and will be able to participate in team activities.

Hill will enter the 2019 regular season with a career total of 223 catches for 3,255 receiving yard and 25 touchdowns. He last faced the Jags last October in the regular season and had four catches for 61 yards. The Chiefs went on to win that game by a score of 30-14.
