Tyreece John-Jules signs new Arsenal contract after impressive pre-season campaign

Tyreece John-Jules has been rewarded for his encouraging pre-season form with a new contract at Arsenal.

The versatile 18-year-old forward put pen to paper on his second professional deal on Monday - the length of which was undisclosed.

Academy product John-Jules - who has been with the Gunners since the age of eight - has impressed over the summer, coming off the bench to net a brace against Boreham Wood last month and subsequently being selected for the senior team's tour of the USA.

He started against the Colorado Rapids in Commerce City and also made substitute a cameo against Bayern Munich before appearing in the second half of the Emirates Cup clash with Lyon and earning another starting berth against Angers SCO in France.

John-Jules, an England youth international who signed his first pro contract in 2018, previously scored the winner for Unai Emery's side in their 3-2 defeat of Al Nasr in Dubai earlier this year.

He has also been involved in senior squads for domestic cups and the Europa League.
