Tyreece John-Jules looking to Lacazette and Aubameyang for Arsenal inspiration

Tyreece John-Jules is looking to learn from Arsenal stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette and make a name for himself in north London after signing a new Gunners contract.

John-Jules, 18, has enjoyed an impressive pre-season with Arsenal this summer, and put pen to paper on a new deal on Monday.

The youngster joined Arsenal's academy at eight years old and rose through the ranks to become an England Under-18 international, with game time in Unai Emery's first team likely this season with the Gunners once again involved in the Europa League.

After signing his new contract, John-Jules revealed that he has been taking tips from two of Emery's key forwards - Aubameyang and Lacazette - in a bid to settle into life among the first-team squad this summer.

"I’ve been hanging around with Lacazette and Aubameyang, trying to learn from them on and off the pitch," he told the club's website.

“They've just told me to be positive, to be confident when I'm on the ball, especially with the first team.

"I've got to show what I can do and keep going. I can learn so much from them.

“It's always been a dream come true to play at this club. As always, I've been working hard, so I think I deserve this new contract.

"I'm just trying to push on now to impress the manager. I need to keep working hard, playing for the first team and when I get my chance, try to take it as well as possible."
