Tyra Banks defends Kim Kardashian's Skims ad after editing accusations

Tyra Banks has jumped to Kim Kardashian 's defence after people claimed her new Skims ad was heavily edited.

The America's Next Top Model star and a few more iconic models are fronting the new shapewear brand's campaign.

She said that Kim, 41, picked her due to her natural physique and she was happy to be included in the photos.

During her and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's appearance on TODAY, she discussed how she felt about the campaign.

"This is something I've been talking about for decades," Tyra, 48, explained.

The model went on to tell hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that Kim liked her natural body and wanted to work with her.

"[Kim] said when I was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, she hadn't seen boobs that were real and big," Tyra continued.

"She said that that gave her self-esteem for her body. So we had, like, a serious conversation, and I finally said, 'Let's do this!'"

Kim said that the two have known each other for a 'really long time' and said that she has 'so much respect for her'.

"So we just had an honest, heart-to-heart conversation, and she got to hear about what the brand stands for, why I started the brand and just all about supporting women," Kim explained.

The new campaign includes models Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel and Tyra.

Some social media users questioned the authenticity of the photos and accused it of being 'photoshopped'.

"These pics are stunning but Tyra looked so gorgeous naturally and this editing is so bizarre and unnecessary?" one social media user claimed.
