Due to approaching Typhoon No. 12 and other factors, it was rainy or cloudy in the Kanto-Koshin region on Wednesday, a day after the end of the four-day autumn holiday.

Central Tokyo recorded a brisk 19.9 C at 8 a.m and unlike the latter half of the holidays, when it was sunny, there was a noticeable change in the amount of people wearing long-sleeved tops around JR Tokyo Station.

As of 11 a.m., the expected maximum temperatures in the Kanto and Tohoku regions were below 25 C in many areas, and it was 22 C in Tokyo and Yokohama, which were both lower than their averages for this time of the year, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
