Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino have suffered a major injury blow ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
That's according to reports.
The Evening Standard claim that Spurs fear that deadline day loan signing Giovani Lo Celso has suffered a serious groin injury whilst on international duty with Argentina.
Furthermore, the report states that the Lilywhites are concerned they could be without the midfielder for several weeks.
Lo Celso initially dampened fears over his injury after the game against Chile: "My problem was only a blow, it is not something to worry about," he told the media.
With that said, there has been conflicting reports over Lo Celso's fitness this week as a couple of reports in Argentina stated he had returned to Tottenham for treatment.
However, the Argentinean FA's official Twitter feed showed Lo Celso on Saturday in Los Angeles in photos with the rest of the squad with the caption: "After practice, the players of Argentina signed autographs and pictures were taken with the fans."
If reports that Lo Celso is facing several weeks on the sidelines are true, then he will miss the London derby against Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as well as upcoming games against Olympiakos and Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Even his participation against Liverpool on October 27 would be in doubt.
As fans await official confirmation on Lo Celso, it's safe to say some fans are fearing the worst.
