A drug dealing duo are to be sentenced for their roles in the supply of amphetamines.
Jake Haggerston, 26, and Chelsee Magee, 23, both face charges relating to the class B drug, and appeared at Durham Crown Court on Monday facing a charge each. Haggerston is charged with being concerned in the supply of a class B drug - amphetamines, with Magee being charged with possession of amphetamines with intent to supply. Both defendants pleaded guilty at the morning hearing to the offences, which were committed between January 1 and 21, last year
Ian West, prosecuting, said the duo were involved in "street level dealing" of the class B drug. He said: "Both defendants appeared to have played a significant role in that Magee was selling the drug and Haggerston was collecting the money from customers."

The court heard that Haggerston, of Rubens Avenue, South Shields, had no previous convictions, with Magee, of Wallsend Road, North Shields, having "irrelevant and limited previous convictions". Judge Jo Kidd said that as the pair are also "relatively young" a pre-sentence report would need to be compiled for both defendants before they are sentenced.
The judge said that the pair would return to the court on Thursday, September 29 for sentence and were granted bail until their next appearance.
