Tyne and Wear Metro trains cancelled due to driver shortage

Tyne and Wear Metro has warned passengers that a number of its early morning trains have had to be cancelled on Friday (September 17) due to a shortage of drivers.

The rail operator has explained that most trains are available on Friday, however a small number of scheduled services have been impacted by Covid isolations.

Four services will be cancelled on Friday.

These are:

06:45 South Gosforth – Pelaw
07:15 Pelaw – Monkseaton
08:02 Monkseaton - Pelaw
08:51 Pelaw – Monkseaton
