Tyler Walker's future addressed by Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi

Sabri Lamouchi has refused to rule out the option of Nottingham Forest recalling Tyler Walker from his season-long loan spell at Lincoln City.

Walker has again proved his goalscoring prowess this season, netting 16 times so far in League One for the Imps, coming on the back of an impressive campaign at Mansfield Town where he notched 26 times.

Forest are worryingly short of options up front, and have just Lewis Grabban as their only recognised senior striker after Rafa Mir’s temporary stay was cut short earlier this week.

While its understood Forest have no specific recall option in their loan deal with Lincoln, the Reds would almost certainly need to negotiate a financial exit with Michael Appleton's Imps should they wish to have him return to the fold.

When quizzed about taking steps to bring the 23-year-old back to the City Ground before the end of the month, Lamouchi was coy over the situation.

“Yes, of course,” said Lamouchi at his pre-match press conference.

Because I know him.

“He was in pre-season with us and he’s doing very at Lincoln, scoring a lot of goals.

“It can be an option, yes, of course.”

Lamouchi meanwhile, admits he’s relaxed about the Reds’ current progress in the window, despite any new arrivals yet to arrive.

Forest continue to be linked with attacking players, and the Frenchman admits the market is not an easy one in which to do business with two weeks remaining.

“It is not only  Nottingham Forest  looking,” he said.

"Many clubs are looking for a striker and to do a deal. But it is not easy to make a deal, so I am waiting, too.

“Of course it has been tough, because for quality players, it is not only us looking.

“There are a lot of clubs looking for strikers, wingers and quality players - on loan, to buy, contracts, club, agents, family, it is not easy.”
