Odd Future might be a thing of the past. Tyler, the Creator, one of the most prominent members of the rap collective, suggested on Twitter that the loosely connected group may no longer exist.

“although its no more, those 7 letters are forever,” he tweeted early on 28 May.
The “seven letters” refers to one of Odd Future’s many names: Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, often styled as OFWGKTA.
The foul-mouthed rapper, who first made an impact in 2011 with a cockroach-eating music video for song Yonkers, seemed to be in a generally nostalgic mood. He tweeted about Odd Future’s early days, linked to photographs on Instagram and old posts on their Tumblr blog, Golf Wang.
“Damn going threw the old golf wang photos shit. i miss my friends alot,” he tweeted. “5 years later isnt that long but wow soooo much has happened.”
Odd Future first toured outside Los Angeles in 2010 and haven’t released a group mixtape since 2012’s The OF Tape Vol 2. In the years since, members Earl Sweatshirt, Jasper Dolphin and Taco Bennett have been among those to star in comedy sketch series Loiter Squad, alongside Tyler. The show’s third season aired in 2014.
Independently, some of the collective’s members have continued to put out their own material. Earl Sweatshirt surprise-released his second major label album in March 2015, Tyler released his fourth solo album Cherry Bomb in April 2015, and Odd Future affiliate Frank Ocean is due to release a new album later this year.
