Tyler Simmons leaves with Shoulder injury

Georgia wide receiver Tyler Simmons got off to a pretty good start with 2 catches for 21 yards and a seven yard run that resulted in a first down.

However, after being tackled out of bounds, the speedy wide receiver walked off holding his arm and made his way to the tent in obvious pain.

Bulldog fans have been waiting on word regarding the status of Simmons, and Georgia’s sports information says he is “out for now” with a right shoulder injury.

UPDATE:

Kirby Smart commented on Simmons’ injury after the game.

“I think he will be fine. I think he could have played if he had too. We will wait and see on Tyler Simmons.”

His status for next week’s game vs Notre Dame is unclear.

Remember, fellow wide receiver Kearis Jackson, another speedster, is still out with a broken hand he suffered in week one vs Vanderbilt.
