Tyler Roberts' message to Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa as he prepares to lead the line for Wales

Tyler Roberts admits he's determined to repay the faith shown in him by Ryan Giggs and Marcelo Bielsa this season.

The attacker has featured in all four of Leeds United's Premier League matches so far this term while he is poised to lead the line for Wales against Bulgaria in the Nations League tonight.

And Roberts, who sent a message for gratitude to both Bielsa and Giggs for the opportunities they have afforded him, now says he is determined to deliver the goods at the business end of the pitch in a bid to prove he is worth a regular starting spot with both Leeds and Wales.

"I'm definitely enjoying my football at the moment," said the 21-year-old.

"I'm really grateful that both managers, for club and country, are putting trust in me and giving me the opportunity and the minutes to go and express myself, learn and play football.

"I'm just trying to take every single opportunity that I can.

"It’s been a great experience and a great start to the season from Leeds especially.

"Playing against top players at Liverpool and Man City, I think the biggest difference is that you don’t come up against any player who is technically below anyone else.

"Everyone in the Premier League is technically at a very high level and you have to be bang at it every time you step on the pitch."

Roberts was handed his international bow by Giggs against Republic of Ireland in September 2018.

He has since amassed eight caps for his country, with his most recent outing coming against England at Wembley last week.

And Roberts believes his versatility can be a huge plus as he looks to become a regular with Wales.

"I'm always honoured to be picked for the squad and be around the boys in the senior team, so any chances I get is just a bonus," he said.

"I think every time you play football you want to show the best side of you. There's always that bit of pressure I put on myself.

"I see myself as a number nine but I also realise I can play out wide or as a 10, I feel like I'm quite a versatile player and can adapt my game to situations.

"At the moment, I'm 21, I'm still quite young. I'm just happy to be playing in the game at all. I feel like I can give my attributes in any position."
