Tyler Onyango named on Everton bench along with four others yet to play for club in Premier League

Carlo Ancelotti has named a substitutes’ bench with five players who have yet to play for Everton in the Premier League.

The Blues boss is without James Rodriguez, Tom Davies and Seamus Coleman for tonight’s game with Southampton with it unclear, at this stage, if the trio are injured or have been rested.

Ancelotti has also been unable to include Robin Olsen or Fabian Delph in his matchday 20.

And so five players, who have not featured for the club in the league, are on the bench.

Joao Virginia has played in the Carabao Cup and is back-up for Jordan Pickford this evening.

While Nathan Broadhead has played in the Europa League for the club in late 2017.

Tyler Onyango, who has been part of the matchday squad in recent weeks and played against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup, is also named.

But Ancelotti has also included Ryan Astley and Kyle John who have yet to taste any first-team action.

Everton’s other subs are Josh King, Alex Iwobi, Niels Nkounkou and Bernard.

EVERTON: Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Godfrey, Digne; Allan, Doucoure, Gomes; Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.

SUBS: Virginia, King, Iwobi, Nkounkou, Bernard, Broadhead, John, Astley, Onyango.
