Tyler Onyango injury latest after midfielder stretchered off in Everton win

Everton continue to assess Tyler Onyango after the midfielder was stretchered off in the FA Youth Cup fourth round victory over Manchester City on Saturday.

Onyango was taken to hospital by club medical staff with x-rays being performed on his leg to reveal the extent of the damage suffered by the midfielder.

The u-18 captain was hacked down from behind by Alex Robertson midway through the second-half with the Manchester City midfielder pictured apologising to Everton players as Onyango was stretchered off.

Onyango, 18, made his first-team debut under Carlo Ancelotti in the FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday in January and has been regularly training with the senior squad this season.

Everton face Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup with the fixture currently scheduled for Saturday April 17.
