Tyler Lockett’s hilarious flop robbed the Steelers’ Mark Barron of a touchdown

If there ever was such thing as a heads-up flop, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett pulled it off on Sunday.

During the first quarter of the Seahawks’ game against the Steelers, a fumble bounced right into the arms of Steelers linebacker Mark Barron.

Barron was easily going to score, but Steelers safety Sean Davis added some support and went to block Lockett anyway. The needless block would backfire, but that was only because of Lockett’s acting job.

A closer look at the play showed that Davis made minimal contact with Lockett — certainly not enough to impede the play or make Lockett fall to the ground.

But the Seahawks receiver flailed his arms and fell hard to the ground — a definite flop — that successfully caught the officials’ attention.

Davis was called for a penalty on the play, which negated the touchdown.

It didn’t necessarily hurt the Steelers because they would score a few plays later, but Barron couldn’t have been too happy about that flop (and penalty).

That was HIS touchdown. Well, it should have been.
