Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and love was in the air. It seems the entire country was stricken by the romantic holiday, and NFL superstars are certainly no exception, including Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
Wilson, who is quite openly affectionate towards his wife Ciara, took to social media again to express his love on the special day in a series of tweets.
But Wilson did not stop there. Later, he also revealed his true Valentine’s Day surprise – his and hers Mercedes. Of course, when one is making NFL quarterback money, Valentine’s gifts tend to be a bit more elaborate, and Wilson’s were no exception.
While this was obviously a wonderful surprise, not everyone seemed as happy. Enter Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett who couldn’t help but reply to Wilson’s posts.
Of course, Lockett was simply having a little fun with his quarterback, and Wilson made sure to show some love back.
Until next year, it seems Lockett will just have to settle for a season with career highs in yards, receptions and touchdowns as his Valentine’s gift from Wilson.
