Tyler Boyd says A.J. Green’s return would mean ‘no talking about the Browns no more’

There’s nothing quite like adding some spice to the in-state rivalry between the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns.

Just ask wide receiver Tyler Boyd, who had an interesting comment about the Browns while talking with the media about A.J. Green’s return.

From Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer: “Bengals WR Tyler Boyd: Once we get A.J. (Green) back, there ain’t no talking about the Browns no more.”

This jab came right after Green himself spoke with the media and talked about his rehab process, which includes getting out of the boot and back to running.

And it isn’t hard to see where Boyd’s excitement came from — in a Week 1 loss to Seattle, the Bengals offense without Green put up a career passing day for Andy Dalton from a yardage standpoint and John Ross scored twice.

Adding Green back to the mix, on paper, makes things even better.

As for those Browns, they were the most-hyped team this offseason before going into Week 1 and dropping a game against Tennessee in 43-13 fashion on the back of 18 penalties for 182 yards and three turnovers.

The Bengals Browns don’t meet until Weeks 14 and 17.
