Tyler Bass sets Arrowhead Stadium playoff record with 51-yard field goal

The AFC Championship game is filled with offensive stars. Josh Allen. Patrick Mahomes. Stefon Diggs. Tyreek Hill. Cole Beasley. Travis Kelce.

So of course it was a kicker, rookie Tyler Bass, who scored the first points of the AFC Championship game. Bass capped off the opening possession of the game with a 51-yard field goal for the Buffalo Bills, giving the visitors an early three-point lead.

The kick was one for the record books, as it marked the longest field goal in playoff games set at Arrowhead Stadium.

Bass also joined some elite company with the kick, as it was his second field goal of 50 yards or more this postseason:

Traditionally, field goals are not how you beat the Kansas City Chiefs and Mahomes. But the Bills will certainly take the early lead.
