Ty Jerome to not participate in media day, will work with Thunder to determine future

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Ty Jerome will not participate in media day, per Royce Young.

Jerome and the Thunder are working together to determine his future with the team.

The 25-year-old is entering his fourth season in the league and third with the Thunder. In 112 career games, Jerome has averaged 7.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 37.8% shooting.

The Thunder acquired Jerome in the Chris Paul trade with the Phoenix Suns.

With the Thunder having plenty of young guards on the roster, Jerome is unlikely to receive consistent rotation minutes this season as he tries to earn a second contract.
