Twynholm Primary's online nativity play viewed by more than 1,000 people around the world

More than 1,000 people have enjoyed Twynholm Primary’s nativity play.

But no coronavirus rules have been broken – as the performance has been broadcast online.

Teachers ensured the pupils didn’t miss out on the popular festive tradition by producing an outdoor Nativity – complete with a Covid-19 spin.

All 61 children were given a speaking role and this allowed them to gain confidence and learn about performance skills. The highlight was a visit from Danny the donkey who took a starring role in the show.

The video has been shared on various social media platforms and has been viewed by more than 1,300 people in places as far afield as New Zealand, Canada and even the Congo.

The performance can be viewed online at www.youtube.com/watch?v=AU0Tm2rVpLU.
