Two-year-old toddler taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Crumpsall

A two-year-old toddler was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Crumpsall.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on Shirely Road at around 5.30pm on Sunday, February 16.

A black Vauxhall Corsa had hit the child.

The toddler was taken to Manchester Children's Hospital in an ambulance.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said the child's injuries do not appear to be serious.

No arrests have been made.

 

The GMP spokesman said: "Collision between black Vauxhall Corsa and child aged two.

A toddler was struck by a car on Shirley Road (ASP)

"Injuries don’t appear to be serious – taken to hospital as a precaution."

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an address on Shirley Road.

"We have taken a child to Manchester's Children's Hospital."
