Two-year-old girl in serious condition after 'tumbling' out of hotel window

A toddler has been rushed to hospital after plunging from a hotel window.

The two-year-old is believed to have fractured her skull and other broken bones.

She tumbled from the window of Manor Royd Hotel in Blackpool, Lancashire, this morning, police say.

Mirror Online reports this is now called Rooms Inn.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called by the ambulance service at shortly before 9am today to a report that a toddler had fallen from a second storey window of the Manor Royd hotel on Albert Road in Blackpool.

"The child, a girl aged two-and-a-half, was taken by air ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital suffering from a number of fractures and is in a serious condition.

"Enquiries are underway."

One ambulance, three police cars, a police van and a crime scene investigation van were spotted outside the hotel today.
Rooms Inn has been approached for comment.

Investigations are ongoing.
