A two-year-old boy has died after being struck by a piece of sport equipment at a sports oval on the New South Wales mid-north coast.
Police were called to EG Trad Sportsfields in Old Bar just after 2pm on Sunday.
After the boy’s father called for help, people nearby attempted CPR, but the toddler died a short time later.
EG Trad Sportsfields has cricket, soccer and football fields.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
