Two women taken to hospital following crash in Rochdale

Two women were taken to hospital following a crash in Rochdale.

Emergency services were called to reports of a two vehicle smash on Bagslate Moor Road in Norden, just after 7.20am on Wednesday morning.

Both women were taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital.

Bagslate Moor Road was closed while emergency services attended, but since reopened.

A statement from a Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were called at 7.20am this morning to Bagslate Moor Road, in Rochdale, to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.

"The women were conscious and breathing, we were assisted by the North West Ambulance Service.

"They were taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital."
