Two women sue UFC star Conor McGregor in personal injury lawsuit

Two women are suing Conor McGregor in separate actions for personal injuries.

A solicitor for the two women confirmed to the Irish Mirror that two sets of papers were filed to the High Court in Dublin yesterday and that McGregor is one of two men listed as defendants.

David Coleman of Coleman Legal Partners added that no further comment could be made on the case at this point.

A statement from Karen J. Kessler, spokesperson for the UFC fighter, said: "After an exhaustive investigation conducted by the Gardai which, in addition to interviews of the plaintiff, included: interviewing numerous sources, obtaining witnesses' statements, examining closed circuit footage and the cooperation of Conor McGregor, these allegations were categorically rejected.

"Mr. McGregor will dispute any claims and is confident that justice will prevail.”

Details of the case have not been made public and a hearing date has yet to be set for the case.

McGregor has made more money in his UFC career to date than any other MMA fighter in the history of the sport.

His crossover into boxing to take on Floyd Mayweather landed him a huge payday four years ago and he continues to cash in on his fame, with Forbes estimating that the 32-year-old earned €40.5 million last year despite fighting just once.

Forbes ranked McGregor 16th in their World's Highest-Paid Athletes 2020 category last May and the fighter's net worth is estimated to stand at around €100M.
