Bullmastiff dog attack leaves woman with 'life-changing injuries' as two hospitalised

Two women have been rushed to hospital after they were savaged by a bullmastiff.

One of the women suffered "life-changing injuries" in the dog attack.

The animal, which has now been seized by police, attacked the women's arms and legs, Warickshire Police has confirmed.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called to reports of two patients who had been injured following as a result of a dog attack on Neale Close in Bulkington.

"The 999 call was made at 11.06am and West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the scene.

"On arrival, crews discovered two patients who had both suffered serious injuries.

"Following treatment at the scene, they were both transported to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire on blue lights and sirens.”

Warwickshire Police said: "Two women have been taken to hospital with serious injuries to their hands and legs after police responded to a report of a dog attack in Neale Cl, Bulkington at 11.02am today.

"The dog has been seized by officers."
