Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a report of a robbery.

Officers were called to the Navigation Pub in Mill Gate, Newark, at around 12.20am on Saturday, October 19, following a report of two women being assaulted by a man.

Police have said the man knocked the women to the ground and took their handbags before fleeing the scene.

Detective Sergeant Ricky Ellis, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We’re appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information to come forward.

“If you own a business that may have CCTV in the area or have any dashcam footage of the incident, please get in touch, too.

“Please contact 101 and quote incident number 16 of 19 October 2019 if you have any information that can help us.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
