Two women were injured after a crash which flipped one vehicle onto its roof.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Switch Island, near Aintree on the M57, just before 8pm yesterday (Monday).
In a photo taken by eyewitness Andrew Whittaker, two cars appeared to have received substantial damage.

Shattered glass was strewn over the road next to one car which had completely overturned onto its roof.
Another car appeared to have suffered significant damage to its front.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "A call was received shortly before 8pm reporting a two vehicle collision involving a Fiat 500 and a Hyundai I20 at Switch Island, M57 yesterday (Monday, June 7).
"Two women were treated for minor injuries and one was taken to hospital as a precaution."
