Two women charged with assault after stabbing inside home in Tameside

Two women have been charged with assault following a stabbing in Tameside.

Katie Sayers, 37, and Kirsty Sullivan, 28, have each been charged with two counts of section 18 assault - wounding with intent.

Both women are from Astley Street, Dukinfield.

They have both been remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' court today (13 January).

Police were called at around 4.05pm on Tuesday 11 January 2021 to Astley Street, Dukinfield to a report a fight involving knives.

Emergency services attended and enquiries established two people - a man and a woman - had been stabbed inside a property on the street.

Both victims were taken to hospital, however, their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
