Two women charged after vandalism at Dunfermline Abbey

TWO women have been arrested and charged after walls of Dunfermline Abbey were vandalised at the weekend.

Graffiti was daubed on the south side of the historic church building on Saturday evening.

Police have confirmed two people that two people have been apprehended in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.30pm on Saturday, 20 August, 2022, we received a report that Dunfermline Abbey had been vandalised with spray paint.

“Two women, aged 22 and 20, were arrested and charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
