Two women charged after teenage girl allegedly assaulted during rammy outside Glasgow takeaway

Two women have been charged after a teenage girl was allegedly assaulted outside a Glasgow takeaway last night.

Police raced to Barrhead Road in Crookston following the incident, which happened near Cafe Asia at around 9.10pm on Sunday, May 30.

Local reports suggested there was at least three cop vehicles in attendance, with one person spotted wearing handcuffs.

A 15-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted during the rammy.

A 17-year-old girl and a 40-year-old woman have been charged in connection with the incident.

Police say a report will now be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report that a 15-year-old girl had been assaulted in the Barrhead Road area around 9.10pm on Sunday, May 30.

"A 17-year-old girl and 40-year-old woman have been charged in connection and will be reported."
