Two 74-year-old women have died after a learner driver ploughed into them as they sat chatting on a pavement.
Shocking footage shows the car driven by a woman only identified as S.K suddenly mounting the pavement and careering into the pair before smashing into a parked car in Adana, Turkey.
After a few seconds the driver gets out and puts her hand to her mouth as she realises what's happened.
Another man gets in the vehicle and reverses it back from the car - before onlookers rush to the women's aid as they lay motionless on the floor.
Victims Munevver Can and Raziye Can were rushed to a nearby hospital but died from their injuries.
The tragic incident occurred in the Yuregir district, Adana province, when S.K. took her boyfriend's car out to practice her driving.
Local media reported S.K. claimed she crashed into the women after confusing the car's accelerator with its brake.
S.K. was arrested and taken to court where she was found guilty of killing the women.
She is currently in custody and awaiting sentencing.
One of the women's husband is reportedly trying to sue S.K. for his wife's death.
Local media report her boyfriend claimed to have been driving the car at the time but the CCTV footage proved she had been behind the wheel.
