Two women are due in court today after a baby allegedly drank wine from a glass bottle at a house in Midlothian.
The 25-year-old and the 22-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, charged with child protection offences after the alleged incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that two women - aged 25 and 22 - have been charged with child protection offences following an incident within a property in Mayfield, Midlothian on Tuesday, January 28.
"All children have been traced and provided with appropriate medical attention and care."
