Two food and drink venues in a North Tyneside town have had to close temporarily due to coronavirus.
Breakfast and brunch takeaway Pablo Eggsgobao and the Rustic Cup cafe in Whitley Bay both announced on social media that they were having to shut.
Pablo Eggsgobao, based on Station Road, wrote on Facebook that it would remain closed until July 6.

Their message added: "Unfortunately one of our staff got Covid, we are a pretty small team in relatively close contact so, that’s us closed for the next lil while. See you on the 6th of July."
Meanwhile, Rustic Cup, based on Park View, made a similar announcement.
They said: "Sad news again. Our small team has been hit with yet more isolations and we’ve got little option but to close our small business again.
"We’re still processing and will be in touch soon with the affected bookings. We’re extremely sorry."
The news comes after latest figures showed that Covid-19 cases were soaring in the North East as well as other parts of the country.
Coronavirus infection rates have gone up in more than 90% of the local authority areas in England, according to the ONS data.
Of those, Newcastle saw the third biggest jump, rising to 409.2 cases per 100,000 people, making it the seventh-highest rate in the country.
And North Tyneside saw the fifth biggest rise, up to 387.7 per 100,000 (ninth in the country).
In the week ending June 24, a total of 291 (92%) of council areas in the country saw their coronavirus rates go up.
