Two West Lothian men arrested by police after reports of an armed disturbance

Police Scotland have confirmed that they attended a disturbance involving weapons in Armadale last night.

The incident is understood to have taken place around the Honeyman Court area around 7:45pm on Monday 12.

A picture captured and shared online shows emergency response vehicles parked along what appears to be Drove Road.

Locals reported seeing an armed response unit, a dog unit, an ambulance as well as several police cars in attendance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Bathgate responded to a report of a disturbance involving weapons in the Honeyman Court area around 7.45pm on Monday, 12 July.

“Two men aged, 26 and 30, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court today.”
