Xbox insiders are in for a little treat, starting today Insiders can start testing out some nice new features like more groups, custom colors, changes to quick resume settings and updates to your profile.
With that said, let’s dive in and cover just what’s being changed.
What’s new in this Xbox Insider update
Starting today, Xbox Insiders can try out expanded groups on Home, increasing the limit from two to ten. It is also now easier to rearrange them, and pinning groups to Home or My Games and Apps has been made more straightforward.
Another addition is Custom Colors, which is one I am especially looking forward to. I tend to stick to a specific shade of blue wherever I can, so having more control here is a nice touch. You can find this option under Settings > General > Personalization > Customize the Guide.
Once inside, you are able to fine-tune your color using hue, saturation, and lightness sliders. Your previous selection is also saved, so you can quickly switch back if you change your mind.
Quick Resume is also seeing some changes. While it is one of Xbox’s most useful features, it can run into problems with certain always-online games. You now have the option to turn it off on a per-game basis, which should help avoid those issues.
To adjust this, open the More options menu on a game, select Manage Quick Resume, then go into Manage game & add-on, followed by Quick Resume Settings to disable it for that title.
Finally, profile badges are now visible in the Guide. When viewing a profile, you will see the five most recently earned badges, making them easier to notice when browsing.

Interestingly, according to new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, these features only began being worked on two weeks ago, and she has urged fans to continue providing feedback.

🎮 Do you like these changes to Xbox?
It's not much that's been changed, but it's enough to show that Xbox is listening to feedback, and whilst a full release for all users isn't set in stone yet, Xbox does say the updates will be rolled out over time.
