Two vehicles torched in Glasgow street as cops probe deliberate attack

Police have launched a probe after two vehicles were 'deliberately' torched in Glasgow this morning.

Officers from Police Scotland are appealing for information after a silver Audi A3 car and silver Citroen Berlingo van were set alight in Linnhead Drive, Pollok, in the early hours of Monday, February 15.

Police and fire crews raced to the scene after receiving a report of the blaze at around 1.15am.

The fires were extinguished and the incidents are now being treated as wilful fire raising.

No-one was injured as a result of the incidents but cops are appealing for any information that could assist with their enquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Daily Record: "Anyone who may have seen a person or persons acting suspiciously in the area or anyone who has any other information relating to the fires should contact police at Helen Street Police Office quoting incident number 0126 of February 15.

"Alternatively calls can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained."
