Two-truck collision on Hume Highway forces lane closure

Two trucks have collided on the Hume Highway east of Yass, leading to traffic delays for drivers.

The two trucks collided in the northbound lanes of the highway in Manton, near Yass, just outside the Mundoon rest area about 5.15am on Wednesday.

None of the drivers involved in the collision had to be rescued from the trucks. Police said no injuries were reported from the incident.

Traffic management crews were called to the scene to help clear the trucks from the highway.

The early-morning incident has forced the closure of one northbound lane near the collision site, and the lane was still closed as of 7.15am.

Traffic authorities have urged drivers to allow extra travel time.
