Two thugs burst into Ayrshire home and launch violent attack

Police have launched a probe after two thugs forced their way into a home to attack a man.

The incident happened in a property on Castle Street, Maybole, at around 8.35pm on Saturday October 17.

Two men forced their way into the house and assaulted a 30-year-old male victim. He was taken to Ayr Hospita l for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Officers are keen to identify the two men. One is described as white, around 6ft 2in tall with a muscular build.

The second is also white and around 5ft 8in tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jumper and light blue denim jeans.

Both men may have run off onto Castle Street following the incident.

Detective Constable Paul McRoberts of Ayr CID, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

"I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard a disturbance on Castle Street shortly after 8.30pm on Saturday evening to please get in touch.

“Anyone who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV is also asked to pass this on to police."
