Two teens wounded in Rogers Park shooting

The teens took themselves to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston.

Two teens were wounded Tuesday after they were shot in Rogers Park on the North Side.

They were outside about 9:30 p.m. in the 7300 block of North Rogers Avenue when they heard shots and realized they were struck, Chicago police said.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg, and a 15-year-old boy was hit in the ankle, police said. The pair took themselves to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston and are in good condition.

The boys did not offer a description of who shot them, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
